Oracle SPARC T8‑1 Server
Oracle T8-1 with 1*32-Core 5.0GHz CPU, 2*1.2TB HDD, 2*Power supply
Oracle SPARC T8‑1 Server is a compact 2‑rack‑unit enterprise rack‑mount UNIX server within Oracle SPARC T8 product family. It is equipped with one SPARC M8 processor running at 5.0 GHz, containing 32 physical cores and 256 hardware execution threads. Each core supports 8 hardware threads, optimized for highly‑threaded enterprise workloads. The system supports up to 1 TB DDR4 memory. It provides eight 2.5‑inch hot‑swap drive bays supporting SAS HDD / SSD as well as NVMe flash SSD, together with six PCI‑E 3.0 expansion slots for I/O adaptors. The breakthrough Software‑in‑Silicon on‑chip acceleration includes DAX analytics accelerators to speed‑up Oracle Database In‑Memory SQL operations, plus integrated cryptographic accelerators to off‑load encryption and decryption tasks, greatly boosting database performance and security. The embedded Oracle ILOM service processor delivers out‑of‑band remote hardware monitoring, firmware configuration and system diagnostics. It supports zero‑cost virtualization: Oracle VM Server for SPARC (LDoms) logical domains and Solaris Zones for server consolidation, enabling dozens of virtual instances on one physical host. Running Oracle Solaris 11 (also supports Solaris 10 within guest domains), the SPARC T8‑1 maintains binary compatibility for legacy UNIX applications. It is widely deployed for database consolidation, Java application servers, OLTP and virtualized department‑level mission‑critical infrastructure.
