Oracle Server X9‑2L is Oracle’s 2‑rack‑unit dual‑socket enterprise‑grade x86 server based on the 3rd‑generation Intel Xeon Scalable “Ice‑Lake” processor family. Optimized for mission‑critical database workloads, server consolidation and virtualization, it also acts as a foundational hardware building‑block for multiple Oracle engineered systems including Oracle Database Appliance and Exadata Database Machine. The system accommodates one or two Intel Xeon Scalable processors ranging from Silver up to Platinum SKUs. Thirty‑two DDR4‑3200 RDIMM memory slots allow maximum system memory capacity of 2 TB. The roomy 2U chassis supports high‑density local storage configurations, accepting up to twelve hot‑swap 2.5‑inch NVMe/SAS SSD or 3.5‑inch HDD drives, complemented by optional mirrored internal M.2‑SATA SSDs for resilient operating‑system boot. A total of ten PCIe Gen 4 expansion slots provide abundant I/O bandwidth for high‑speed network cards, storage host bus adapters and GPU accelerators. The integrated Oracle ILOM service‑processor delivers comprehensive out‑of‑band infrastructure management, supporting remote KVMS, sensor health monitoring, fault logging and remote firmware upgrades.
