Netra Server X5-2 is Oracle’s carrier-grade 2U rack server designed for telecommunications central office, network edge, session delivery and mission-critical communication applications, fully compliant with NEBS environmental standards. It supports one or two Intel Xeon E5-2600 v3 (Haswell-EP) multi-core processors. The platform uses DDR4 2133MHz ECC RDIMM/LRDIMM memory, with up to 768GB maximum capacity in dual-CPU configuration. Storage options include hot-plug 2.5-inch SAS SSD/HDD bays, with optional NVMe drive support for low-latency requirements. It comes with four onboard 10GBASE-T Ethernet ports. PCIe 3.0 expansion slots are available for extra network adapters, HBAs and acceleration cards. Telco-specific features include dry-contact alarm relays, redundant hot-swap power supplies supporting AC and -48V DC input, and counter-rotating hot-plug fans for reliable operation under harsh temperature and vibration conditions. Oracle ILOM provides comprehensive out-of-band lights-out management, remote KVM, serial management, hardware monitoring and fault diagnosis. It is a widely adopted hardware platform for Oracle communications software stacks.
