Netra Server X3-2 is Oracle’s carrier-grade 2U rack server, previously named Sun Netra X4270 M3. It is purpose-built for telecommunications central offices, network edge nodes, signaling gateways and telecom infrastructure, supporting both AC and -48V DC power input and meeting NEBS standards. This platform supports up to two Intel Xeon E5-2600 series processors, paired with DDR3 low-voltage RDIMMs, with a maximum memory capacity of 256GB. It has flexible 2.5-inch hot-plug SAS drive configurations: up to 8 × 2.5” SAS drives, or 6 × 2.5” SAS drives plus a slimline DVD-RW. It integrates four onboard 10GbE Ethernet ports and six low-profile PCIe 3.0 x8 slots for HBAs, extra network adapters and accelerators. Unique telco features include four isolated dry-contact alarm outputs for remote site alerting. Redundant hot-swap power supplies and N+1 counter-rotating fan modules deliver stable operation under harsh temperature and vibration conditions. Oracle ILOM provides out-of-band remote management, monitoring and fault control.
