Oracle Sun SPARC Enterprise M3000 Server
Oracle M3000 Base Server 542-0443/542-0421/7048412 1 × 2.86GHz CPU, SPARC VII+ Dual Core
Sun SPARC Enterprise M3000 Server is the entry‑level rack‑mount UNIX server within the SPARC‑M family, engineered jointly by Sun Microsystems and Fujitsu. After Oracle acquired Sun, it was maintained under Oracle’s enterprise server lineup. The chassis occupies 4 rack units (4RU). The system houses one SPARC64 VII or SPARC64 VII+ processor (max 4 physical cores). It supports up to 64 GB DDR2 system memory. M3000 has no hardware dynamic domain partitioning capability, so it runs as one single system instance onlyOracle. It provides four PCI‑E x8 slots for I/O expansion. Redundant hot‑swappable power supplies and fan modules improve system fault tolerance. The embedded XSCF (Extended System Control Facility) service processor supports remote hardware monitoring, firmware configuration and hardware diagnostics for off‑band administration. Designed for department‑scale mission‑critical IT environments, the server runs Oracle Solaris 10. It is suitable for department‑level Oracle databases, small ERP systems, middleware and backend business services for mid‑sized departments.
