Oracle SPARC T5‑4 Server

The SPARC T5‑4 is a 5U rack‑mount SMP enterprise server within the T5 family. It can be configured with either two or four SPARC T5 processors running at 3.6 GHz. Each SPARC T5 CPU provides 16 cores and 128 hardware threads. At the fully populated 4‑socket configuration, the system reaches 64 cores and 512 hardware threads, sitting between the dual‑socket T5‑2 and the high‑end 8‑socket T5‑8 platformOracle.

Each T5 processor embeds dedicated on‑chip crypto accelerators to offload SSL, TLS and database encryption workloads. Please note that the T5 generation does NOT implement Software‑in‑Silicon, Silicon Secured Memory or DAX analytics accelerators – those security‑acceleration features arrived later on the M7 / S7 / T7 product line.

The server supports Oracle VM Server for SPARC (Logical Domains), enabling administrators to partition the large physical server into multiple independent virtual domains for consolidating databases and middleware workloads. Enterprise‑grade RAS features include memory ECC, DIMM sparing, hot‑swap redundant power supplies and redundant fan modules for fault tolerance.
