Oracle SPARC T5‑2 Server
The SPARC T5‑2 is a 3U rack‑mount entry‑to‑mid‑range server within the T5 product family. It can be populated with one or two SPARC T5 processors running at 3.6 GHz. Each SPARC T5 processor has 16 cores and 128 hardware threads; fully‑configured dual‑socket reaches 32 cores and 256 hardware threads. It sits below the larger T5‑4 (5U) and T5‑8 (8U) multi‑socket SMP servers in the product stack.

The T5 processor integrates dedicated on‑chip crypto accelerators to offload SSL, TLS and database encryption operations. Important note: The T5 generation does NOT include Software‑in‑Silicon, Silicon Secured Memory or DAX analytics accelerators, which were introduced starting with the later M7 / S7 / T7 platforms.

The platform supports Oracle VM Server for SPARC (Logical Domains) hypervisor virtualization, enabling customers to partition the physical server into multiple isolated virtual domains for consolidating database and application workloads. Enterprise‑class RAS capabilities include ECC memory protection, hot‑swap redundant power supplies and redundant cooling fans to minimize unplanned downtimeOracle.
