Oracle Server X7‑2L is a 2U rack‑mounted enterprise‑class x86 server, purpose‑built for data‑intensive workloads that require substantial on‑board local storage and extensive I/O expansion, including standalone Oracle Database, non‑SAN database implementation, database consolidation and big‑data processing.

The system supports one or two 1st‑generation Intel® Xeon® Scalable Silver, Gold or Platinum processors, with up to 24 cores per socket. It provides 24 DDR4‑2666 DIMM slots supporting a maximum memory capacity of 1.5 TB. The front chassis holds twelve hot‑swap 3.5‑inch drive bays, compatible with large‑capacity SAS‑3 HDD or NVMe SSD drives (NVMe requires optional PCIe switch card). In addition, two internal M.2 flash drives are available for mirrored operating‑system boot. The dual‑processor configuration delivers eleven PCI‑Express Gen‑3 expansion slots for fibre‑channel HBAs, high‑speed network adapters and flash accelerator cards.
