Oracle Database Appliance X6-2M is a compact 1U engineered system combining optimized hardware, Oracle Linux, Oracle Database and automation software into a single turnkey platform, designed for mid-sized OLTP, reporting and mixed database workloads. It hosts dual Intel Xeon E5-2630 v4 CPUs (10 cores each, total 20 cores), and supports Oracle Capacity-on-Demand licensing, allowing flexible activation of cores in increments of two to match database licensing requirements.

The base memory configuration is 256GB, expandable to 512GB or 768GB with 32GB DDR4 DIMMs. Storage includes two mirrored 480GB SATA SSDs for OS and appliance software, paired with front NVMe SSDs for database data. Raw NVMe capacity can be extended from 6.4TB up to 12.8TB with optional extra NVMe drives, supporting double-mirror or triple-mirror redundancy for data protection.

It provides four onboard 10GBase-T Ethernet ports, plus PCIe Gen3 slots for dual 10GbE SFP+ adapters, NVMe switch cards and SAS HBAs. Redundant hot-swappable power supplies deliver reliable operation. Oracle ILOM enables out-of-band remote monitoring and hardware diagnostics. The unified ODA software stack automates database provisioning, patching, backup and lifecycle administration, reducing manual administration overhead. Certified for Oracle Database single instance and Oracle RAC One Node, it is widely adopted for mid-tier enterprise databases.
