Oracle Exalytics In-Memory Machine X6-4 is an integrated engineered system combining memory-rich hardware, Oracle TimesTen In-Memory Database, optimized Oracle BI Foundation Suite and automation software, designed to accelerate business intelligence, enterprise performance management and analytic workloads. It is built upon the Oracle Server X6-4 4U rack chassis with up to four Intel Xeon E5-4600 v4 processors, supporting capacity-on-demand core activation to align with software licensing requirements.

The system is configured with 64 DDR4 DIMM slots, delivering up to 3TB of main memory to host large in-memory analytic datasets and TimesTen databases. Local persistent storage includes six 2.4TB SAS HDDs configured with RAID protection for OS and persistent data. It is equipped with three high-performance flash accelerator cards, available in 3.2TB F320 or 6.4TB F640 options, offering up to 19.2TB flash capacity for low-latency caching and analytic acceleration.

Expansion includes 11 PCIe Gen3 slots for InfiniBand HCAs, high-speed network adapters and storage controllers. Redundant hot-swappable power supplies and cooling fans ensure continuous 24/7 operation. Oracle ILOM provides out-of-band hardware monitoring, KVMS and fault diagnostics. The pre-validated Exalytics software stack integrates Oracle BI EE, Oracle EPM, TimesTen In-Memory Database and Oracle VM virtualization, simplifying deployment, patching and scale-out cluster configuration. It is widely deployed for interactive dashboards, what-if analysis, large-scale OLAP and consolidated enterprise BI workloads.
