This platform uses DDR3 memory with memory riser architecture. The 2-socket configuration supports up to 512GB memory, while the 4-socket version can reach a maximum of 1TB. It is equipped with six front-accessible 2.5-inch hot-plug SAS/SATA drive bays for HDD or SSD storage. It provides ten PCIe 2.0 low-profile expansion slots for HBAs, network adapters and accelerators. Redundant hot-swappable power supplies and fans eliminate single points of failure. Oracle ILOM service processor enables remote lights-out management, hardware monitoring and fault control. It was widely deployed as a high-end database server for Oracle engineered systems and core business systems.
